Genebre 2415 – Wafer Type Spring-Loaded Disc Check Valve

The Genebre 2415 is a wafer-type spring-loaded disc check valve designed for installation between flanges. The disc opens under differential flow pressure and closes via an AISI 316 spring when flow decreases or reverses. No actuator is required.

Pressure, Dimensions, and Temperature

Available in DN15 to DN200. Sizes DN15–DN100 rated PN40; DN125–DN200 rated PN25. Operating temperature: -20°C to +240°C. Pressure-temperature rating must be verified for each application.

Hydraulic Data

Kv values range from 4.9 m³/h (DN15) to 425 m³/h (DN200). Opening pressure: 24–30 mbar (DN15–DN65), 20–26 mbar (DN80–DN100), 30–36 mbar (DN125–DN200).

Applications

Suitable for compact piping, skids, auxiliary industrial networks, water, air, or compatible liquid/gas lines. Media must be compatible with CF8M, AISI 316, and metal seat. Valve selection must consider flow, Kv, pressure drop, and minimum differential pressure, not just pipe diameter.

Installation and Maintenance

Piping must be cleaned prior to installation; welding debris or foreign bodies can damage the disc and seat. Manufacturer recommends avoiding installation immediately downstream of pumps, elbows, reducers, or other valves. Minimum distances: 10×DN upstream, 3×DN downstream.

When does the pressure class change from PN40 to PN25?
From DN125 and above.

Is regular lubrication required?
No. The all-metal version does not require lubrication or periodic maintenance, but leakage and connection integrity should be checked periodically.
