Zubi T99 Weir Type Diaphragm Valve
The Zubi T99 is a threaded weir type diaphragm valve, bidirectional, featuring a one-piece cast body and bolted bonnet. The weir geometry is primarily intended for flow isolation in clean or moderately loaded fluids, offering a shorter diaphragm stroke compared to straight-through types. It lacks an internal elastomeric lining option, so chemical compatibility is mainly determined by the body and diaphragm materials.
Technical Specifications

- Connections: BSP or NPT, with other connections available upon request.
- Manual version pressure: up to 10 bar.
- Body: GGG50 or CF8M / AISI 316.
- Bonnet: GG25.
- Sealing: watertight shut-off.

Diaphragms and Material Selection
Available diaphragms: Butyl, aliment butyl, reinforced butyl, Natural Rubber, aliment natural rubber, EPDM, Hypalon, Neoprene, Nitrile, Silicone, PTFE, and Viton. Selection is based on pH, temperature, oxidizing nature, solids content, and handling frequency. For corrosive fluids, CF8M/AISI 316 is typically considered, while GGG50 may be used for neutral waters or auxiliary networks.
Applications
Suitable for:
- water and wastewater treatment,
- chemical auxiliary circuits,
- pulp & paper,
- power generation,
- mining and bulk handling with limited abrasiveness,
- food/beverages only after material and hygiene requirements confirmation.
Handling and Automation
Available with handwheel, pneumatic actuator air open, air close, or double acting, electric actuator, and gearbox. Options: position indicators, limit switches, solenoid valves, padlocks, mechanical stops, and positioner 4–20 mA.
Difference from T85/99
The T99 is a weir type and preferred in threaded on/off lines with better diaphragm compression. The T85/99 is straight-through and preferred when freer passage or less solids retention is required.
