Diaphragm Valve Zubi SW/BW
The Zubi SW/BW is a diaphragm valve with welded ends, available in straight-through type T85 or weir type T100. The body is monoblock cast, bidirectional, with a bolted bonnet and reinforced woven diaphragm construction. Connections are SW – Socket Welding or BW – Butt Welding, suitable for installations where permanent welding is preferred over flanges or threading.
Technical Specifications
- Body Types: straight or weir.
- Connections: SW and BW.
- Body Material: GGG50 or CF8M / AISI 316, other materials upon request.
- Bonnet: GG25.
- Sealing: watertight shut-off.
- Installation: permissible in any position, with maintenance accessibility check.
- Manual straight version pressures: DN20–DN50 at 8 bar, DN65 at 6 bar. Actuated versions require datasheet verification.
Diaphragms and Media Compatibility
Available diaphragms: Butyl, aliment Butyl, reinforced Butyl, Natural Rubber, aliment Natural Rubber, EPDM, Hypalon, Neoprene, Nitrile, Silicone, Viton, and PTFE only in the weir version. Selection is based on chemical compatibility, temperature, pH, cycle frequency, and presence of solids. The SW/BW version is not available with rubber-lined body, making body material crucial in corrosive applications.
Applications
Used in water and wastewater, pulp & paper, power generation, mining, powder & bulk handling, chemical circuits, and food/beverage applications when contact materials are compatible with the medium.
Handling and Automation
Available with manual operation, pneumatic actuator air-open, air-close, or double acting, electric actuator, and gearbox. Options: position indicators, limit switches, solenoid valves, padlocks, mechanical limit switches, and positioner 4–20 mA.
Difference Between Straight and Weir
The straight-through version is preferred for freer passage. The weir version is chosen for shorter diaphragm travel and the ability to use PTFE diaphragm.
