Media and Operating Conditions
Suitable for water, compressed air, neutral gases, utility services and chemical liquids compatible with CF8M stainless steel, PTFE and FKM. For solvents, acids, caustics or elevated-temperature service, chemical compatibility and pressure derating must be checked before selection.
Standards and Certifications
- TÜV-certified executions available
- ATEX and fire-safe executions available on request
- Pressure class must be verified against DN, temperature and fluid category
Variants and Selection Notes
- Standard version: manual lever-operated isolation valve for threaded process and utility lines.
- TÜV version: used where third-party certification is required by plant specification.
- ATEX / fire-safe version: selected for hazardous areas or services requiring defined fire response criteria.
Actuation and Sealing
The standard configuration is manual quarter-turn operation with a stainless steel lever. Where remote operation is required, actuator compatibility, stem torque, mounting arrangement and cycle frequency should be confirmed with the valve configuration. PTFE seats provide chemical resistance and low operating torque; FKM O-rings must be checked for compatibility with the process fluid and temperature.
Typical Applications
- Industrial water and compressed air headers
- Neutral gas distribution
- Chemical utility lines
- Skid-mounted equipment and package units
- Maintenance isolation upstream or downstream of instruments and equipment
FAQ
Can it be used for throttling? It is primarily an isolation valve. Part-open operation may increase seat wear and leakage risk.
What must be checked before ordering? DN, PN rating, thread type, temperature, media compatibility, certification requirement and actuator need.
Is it suitable for vacuum? Yes, down to 10⁻² torr, provided the full assembly and end connections are compatible with the service.
