GESTRA UNA 38 Float Steam Trap
The GESTRA UNA in PN100 configuration is a float steam trap designed for high-pressure applications, featuring a 1.5415 body and needle seat mechanism. Operation is based on condensate level: the float opens the rolling valve, with flow dependent on orifice size and available differential pressure.
Technical Specifications
- Nominal Pressure: PN100 / ASME Class 600.
- Sizes: DN15–DN50.
- Body Material: 1.5415, ASTM A182-F1.
- Cover: 1.7357, ASTM A217-WC6.
- Gaskets: Graphite/CrNi.
- Internal Parts: Stainless Steel.
- Max Differential Pressure: 50, 64, or 80 bar, depending on orifice.
- Temperature Range up to 530 °C with corresponding pressure reduction.
Connections
Available with flanges EN 1092-1 B2 PN100 or ASME B16.5 Class 600 RF, socket weld per DIN EN 12760 or ASME B16.11 Class 3000, and butt weld via transition pieces per EN 12627 / ISO 9692-1 or ASME B16.25 / ASME B36.10.
SIMPLEX or DUPLEX
The SIMPLEX version is level-controlled, mainly used for cold condensate and superheated steam. The DUPLEX incorporates temperature-controlled venting with a bimetallic element, preferred in saturated or superheated steam where automatic air removal at startup is required.
Applications
Suitable for condensate drainage in high-pressure steam lines, heat exchangers, heating elements, superheated steam, and locations with variable backpressure. Selection is based on DN, condensate flow, differential pressure, temperature, and connection class.
Maintenance and Inspection
Optional features include a float lifting lever and manual vent valve. Spare parts include a complete control unit, gaskets, vent valve, and bimetallic air vent. EN 10204 documentation should be requested upon ordering.
