Brandoni Serie 07 – Ball Type Check Valve

The Brandoni Serie 07 is a ball check valve constructed from spheroidal graphite cast iron (EN-GJS-400-15), designed for liquid networks where viscous or dense fluids may be present. The internal ball is displaced by differential flow pressure and reseats when flow decreases or reverse pressure occurs. No actuator is required; operation is fully automatic based on process conditions.

Pressure and Hydraulic Data

Maximum allowable pressure for water and non-hazardous liquids: 16 bar (DN25–DN150), 10 bar (DN200–DN250). Minimum operating pressure: 0.2 bar. Minimum backpressure for tightness: 0.5 bar. Indicative Kv values: 21 m³/h (DN25) to 3100 m³/h (DN250).

Applications

Suitable for wastewater, industrial liquids, agricultural fluids, viscous and dense media. Full bore and self-cleaning geometry reduce risk of clogging compared to reduced bore check valves. Not suitable for steam, gases, or hazardous fluids as per technical datasheet classification.

Installation and Maintenance

Vertical installation is recommended; horizontal mounting is permitted following flow direction indicated on the body. The valve is unidirectional. The cover allows access for cleaning or ball replacement after depressurization, drainage, and cooling of the line. Flange bolts must not be used for pipe alignment, and flange welding after installation is not permitted.

Description

BALL CHECK VALVE

The valves in series 07 are ball check valves made of ductile iron, and are manufactured in accordance with the most severe product norms, and in conformity with the quality requirements of EN ISO 9001.

They are available in a flanged version, from DN50 to DN250, and in a threaded version, from DN25 to DN80.

They are suitable for waste water, industrial applications, agricultural purposes, for viscous e dense liquids.
