Tassalini Aseptic Ball Valve

Aseptic ball valve designed for sanitary and aseptic process lines. Wetted parts are manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel; AISI 304L is available on request. Typical applications include food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical liquids, and CIP circuits where disassembly, cleaning, and product retention inspection are required.

Technical Data

  • Maximum operating pressure: 10 bar
  • Wetted materials: AISI 316L
  • Surface finish: external polished, internal satin finish grain 150
  • Typical internal roughness: Ra 0.76–0.89 μm max
  • Available with manual or pneumatic actuation
  • Pneumatic actuators: horizontal or vertical, single-acting, double-acting, or flow control

Variants and Functional Selection

Models 50 and 51 feature a side inlet and bottom drain port, allowing access to internal components during CIP. These are selected when cleaning the ball cavity is critical, especially after batches with viscous or sensitive media.

Model 71 is a compact design with the ball positioned between flanges, reducing valve volume. Models 90 and 91 allow inline disassembly; model 90 includes a sanitary gasket.

Connections and Automation

Available with multiple connection standards: DIN, SMS, RJT, ISS, BSP, Eno, Macon. Pneumatic versions can be equipped with proximity sensors, microswitches, solenoid valves, and connectors for integration with PLCs or automation panels.

FAQ

Can it be used for flow regulation?
Only with a pneumatic actuator configured for flow control. Standard use is on/off isolation.

When is the drain version required?
When product must not remain in the ball cavity after CIP, batch change, or sterilization.

Datasheet and documents

Description

Our ball valves are of heavy duty construction. The parts in contact with the fluid are manufactured exclusively of Aisi 316L stainless steel.

The valves are easy to sterilize and disassemble. Models 50 and 51 are equipped with side entry and bottom port for drainage and internal parts are easy to reach during CIP process. In models 71 and 81 the ball is contained in the flange with lightening of the structure and reduction of valve volume. Models 90 and 91 can be disassembled on line and model 90 is manufactured in conformity with the 3-A standards.

All flanges are interchangeable. Ball valves can be actuated either manually or pneumatically. The pneumatic controls can be horizontal and vertical, single-effect, double-effect, and modulating. They can be fitted with control tops and proximity contacts, microswitches, solenoid valves, connectors.

The standard finish is 150 grit (Ra 0.76-0.89 µm max).

The maximum operating pressure is 10 bars.
