Mounting Kits Eurotec MSH
Eurotec MSH mounting kits are designed for installing limit switch boxes on manual valves. They enable open/close position feedback from valves that do not have actuators, allowing PLC or DCS systems to monitor valve status and confirm correct positioning in process lines.
Functional Role
The MSH kit does not automate the valve or transmit torque. Its function is to provide mechanical support and coupling between the limit switch box and the manual shaft or handle of the valve.
Typical use cases include:
- position indication on manual valves,
- monitoring for unauthorized operation,
- feedback to PLC, DCS, or local panels,
- retrofit on existing manual installations,
- position logging on critical isolation lines.
Applications
MSH kits are used on manual ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves in water, air, auxiliary gas, chemical supply, HVAC, and industrial isolation networks.
The mounting kit does not contact the process medium. Media compatibility is determined by the valve, not the MSH kit.
Selection Criteria
Selection depends on:
- type and size of manual valve,
- geometry of handle or shaft,
- limit switch box type,
- available installation space,
- required open/close signal,
- installation environment and Ex requirements.

Eurotec references DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 80079-34 for equipment intended for explosive atmospheres. Ex suitability of the assembly depends on the limit switch box, wiring, and installation practices.
