Automatic On/Off Valve Genebre Type 5060
The Genebre 5060 is a pneumatically actuated angle seat valve with a single-acting actuator and spring return. The default configuration is Normal Closed (NC), meaning the valve closes upon loss of control air. It is designed for on/off isolation rather than modulating flow control.
Technical Specifications
- DN15–DN50, connections from 1/2" to 2".
- PN16, maximum operating pressure of 16 bar.
- Body made of stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M.
- Seat material: PTFE.
- Threads according to ISO 228/1, with NPT version available as 5060N.
- Operating temperature: -10°C to +180°C.
- Maximum fluid viscosity: 600 mm²/s.
Hydraulic Selection
Kv values range from 4.7 m³/h at DN15 to 52.8 m³/h at DN50. For DN15–DN40, differential pressure is up to 16 bar, while DN50 has a maximum ΔP of 9 bar. Selection should consider DN, Kv, ΔP, and available air pressure, not just thread size.
Pneumatic Actuator
The actuator operates with control air pressure of 3–8 bar. Air inlet is G 1/8", requiring clean and dry air. Minimum control pressure increases with size and ΔP, from approximately 3.5 bar at DN15 to 7 bar at DN50.
Applications
Suitable for process water, air, neutral liquids, and compatible gases, provided chemical compatibility with stainless steel 1.4408 and PTFE is ensured. Typical uses include skids, auxiliary networks, filling/draining lines, bypasses, and automation with frequent cycling.
Installation and Maintenance
Flow direction should follow the arrow on the body. Horizontal installation with the actuator upwards is recommended, along with pipe alignment and a filter before the valve. Leakage from the side indicator hole suggests potential shaft seal failure, requiring gasket set replacement.
Description
Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
