KITO® VS/oG-…
- As end-of-line armatures for venting apertures on tank installations for ventilation and to prevent inadmissible vacuum.
- Usually mounted on top of a tank. The valve is not explosion-proof, thus cannot be used for flammable media.
The KITO VS/oG-… type D13N is a self-actuated vacuum relief valve designed for end-of-line installation on tank vent nozzles. The valve opens when the tank vacuum exceeds the setpoint, allowing air ingress to prevent unacceptable negative pressure in the tank shell. This model is not explosion-proof and must not be used with flammable media.
Available in DN 50 to DN 300. Flanged connections: DN 50–150 to PN 16, DN 200–300 to PN 10. Optional ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF connection. Vacuum setpoint range: 2–60 mbar.
Standard body: cast steel 1.0619, cover: carbon steel. Optional: stainless steel 1.4408 or aluminium (DN 100–300). Seat: stainless steel 1.4571. Gasket: PTFE.
Selection depends on vacuum setpoint:
14 to 60 mbar: stainless steel 1.4571 disc, PTFE seal.
Flow curves are based on air at 1.29 kg/m³. Stated flow rates are achieved with 20% accumulation above setpoint. For lower permissible accumulation, flow correction is required.
Is an actuator required?
No. Operation is mechanical via differential pressure.
CE marking available?
No. Technical documentation states no EC certificate and no CE marking.
