KITO® VS/oP-…
- As end-of-line armature on storage tanks and silos in which powder products and granulates are stored.
- Ventilation is provided to prevent dangerous vacuum.
- All moving parts are outside the storage room.
The KITO VS/oP-…, type D12.4N, is a self-actuated vacuum relief valve designed for terminal installation on storage tanks and silos containing powdered or granular materials. The valve operates by admitting atmospheric air when negative pressure develops, preventing hazardous vacuum conditions in the vessel. All moving components are located outside the tank or silo interior, minimizing contamination risk.
Available sizes: DN 25 to DN 250. Flanged connections: DN 25 PN 40, DN 50–150 PN 16, DN 200–250 PN 10. Optional drilling per ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF. Vacuum setpoint range: 2–50 mbar.
Standard construction: carbon steel body with internal PTFE lining. Optional: stainless steel 1.4571 body. Seat and shaft: stainless steel 1.4571. Spring: 1.4310. Weather cover: stainless steel. Standard seal: NBR; optional Viton or PTFE. Flange gasket: HD 3822 or optional PTFE.
Valve selection is based on allowable vessel vacuum, required air inflow, and gas density. Flow curves refer to air at ρ = 1.29 kg/m³, T = 273 K, atmospheric pressure. Capacities are specified for 40% accumulation above setpoint, per DIN 4119.
CE or EC certification available?
No. The technical datasheet specifies no EC certificate and no CE marking.
Is an actuator required?
No. Operation is mechanical, based on differential pressure.
What is checked during maintenance?
Seat cleanliness, seal condition, free movement of shaft/disc, and weather cover protection from dust accumulation.
