Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal – Tilting Disc Check Valve

The Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal is a tilting disc check valve designed for high-pressure piping systems. The disc rotates with flow and closes automatically when the differential pressure drops or reverses. Operation is purely mechanical, with no actuator required.

Pressure Classes and Sizes

  • PN100: DN50–DN600, Fig. P172T
  • PN160: DN50–DN600, Fig. P173T
  • PN250: DN50–DN400, Fig. P174T
  • PN320: DN50–DN400, Fig. P175T
  • PN420: DN50–DN400, Fig. P176T
  • Standard connection: butt weld per DIN 3239 / EN 12627
  • Optional: flanged ends, RTJ flanges, ANSI connections

Construction and Materials

Full opening design with machined disc and seat, replaceable seat. Available in 1.0619 (carbon steel) and 1.4408 (stainless steel). Seat/disc surfaces with hard facing (Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or per specification). Gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite. Soft sealing (PTFE or elastomer) available on request.

Standards

Design per EN 12516, face-to-face per EN 558 / EN 1298L, flanges and rating per EN 1092, testing per EN 12267, marking per EN 19, certification EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, CE / PED compliance.

Applications

Used in high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, and compatible process liquids or gases. Valve selection (PN, material) should be based on pressure-temperature rating, temperature, corrosion, and flow velocity.

FAQ

When is a tilting disc check valve selected? For high PN check valve applications where lower flow resistance is required compared to conventional lift check valves.
Is soft sealing available? Yes, optional disc with PTFE or elastomer seal.
