The Valvosider ASME Pressure Seal is a tilting disc check valve designed for high-pressure pipelines in accordance with ASME standards. The disc rotates with the flow and closes automatically when the differential pressure decreases or reverses. No actuator is required for operation.
Design includes a pressure seal bonnet, lapped disc/seat, and integral seat. Body and bonnet materials: ASTM A216 WCB, ASTM A217 WC1 / WC6 / WC9, ASTM A351 CF8M. Disc/seat surfaces: A105+HF, F6A+HF, or F316+HF, per metallurgical specification.
Design per MSS SP 144, BS 1873, ASME B16.34. Face-to-face: ASME B16.10. Flanges: ASME B16.5. Weld ends: ASME B16.25. Testing: API 598, EN 12266. Marking: MSS-SP 25. Compliance: CE/PED. Certification: EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
Available: PTFE or elastomer disc, lever with counterweight, shock absorber, locking device, drain plug, bypass, flanged ends, RTJ flanges, DIN connections.
Used in high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, and compatible process liquids or gases. Selection of class and material should consider pressure-temperature rating, temperature, corrosion, flow velocity, and seat leakage requirements.
When is a tilting disc design selected? When a high-rating check valve is required with lower flow resistance than a conventional lift type.
When are counterweight or shock absorber needed? For large diameters, pulsating flow, or pump stations with transient conditions.
