The BR 955 005 is a self-contained eyewash station with a 60-liter tank, integrated into a wall-mounted heated cabinet. It is specified for locations lacking direct water supply at the hazard point or where independent first-flush capability is required in low ambient temperatures.

Heating and Anti-Freeze Operation

Heating is provided by a self-regulating heating tape rated at 20 W/m. An external thermostat disables heating at 14 °C and reactivates at 4 °C, minimizing energy consumption. The cabinet includes insulation package PPB 20 g/l.

Eyewash Operation

Upon activation, two low-pressure heads deliver flushing fluid from the tank to both eyes. Operation is based on stored water, not continuous mains supply. Water quality and periodic replacement are critical for maintenance and compliance.

Standards and Area Classification

Compliant with DIN EN 15154-4:2009 and ANSI Z358.1-2014; referenced for GOST-R and GOST-TR-EX. Technical documentation specifies suitability for EX Zones 1 & 2 with all electrical components in explosion-proof configuration. Final use must be verified per site zone classification.

Water Maintenance

With potable water, weekly fluid replacement is recommended. With antibacterial additive, maintenance interval extends to 6 months at a dosage of 10 ml per 100 L for additive BR 910 980.
