B-Safety ClassicLine BR 958 005 – Eyewash Station with Stainless Steel Tank

The BR 958 005 is a self-contained eyewash station equipped with a stainless steel tank, designed for locations lacking permanent water supply or where a temporary first-flush arrangement is required. Operation is based on a pre-filled tank pressurized via a tyre-type compressed air valve.

Technical Specifications

  • Tank material: stainless steel
  • Nominal tank capacity: 16 L
  • Usable fill volume: 14 L
  • Filling pressure: 7 bar
  • Flow rate: 7 l/min
  • Flush duration: approx. 2 min
  • Alternative version BR 958 005 / 1L: 1.7 l/min, approx. 5 min flush time
  • Dimensions: 560 × 225 × 225 mm
  • Water filling: large top hinged lid
  • Compressed air connection: tyre inflation valve type

Operation

Activation is via the connected hand-held eyewash shower with a single spray head. The handle is plastic, ergonomic, with adjustable activation and non-self-closing valve. The flexible hose features stainless steel braiding, length 1.5 m, water inlet ½” female. Integrated flow regulator and non-return device are included.

Standards and Use Limitations

Complies with EN 15154-4:2009 and ANSI Z358.1-2014; reference GOST-R. Eyewash signage per EN ISO 7010 / ASR A1.3, dimensions 150 × 150 mm, recognition distance 15 m.

Due to flush duration below 15 minutes, this unit is classified as an interim measure until access to a plumbed safety shower is available, as determined by risk assessment.

Water Maintenance

For tank hygiene, antibacterial additive BR 910 980 is available; dosage 10 ml per 100 L water, effective up to 6 months.

Applications and Media Compatibility

  • Suitable for temporary or remote industrial workstations, laboratories, and maintenance areas
  • Compatible with potable water and approved water additives
  • Not suitable for aggressive chemicals or media outside potable water specification

Variant Comparison

  • BR 958 005: higher flow, shorter flush duration
  • BR 958 005 / 1L: lower flow, extended flush duration

Maintenance Considerations

  • Regular inspection of tank integrity and valve sealing recommended
  • Periodic replacement of water and additive per maintenance schedule

Product description

Tank eye showers can be used to provide economical first aid in these locations as well. Transportable eye showers with a tank capacity of 16 liters are most commonly used. However, showers with a flushing time of less than 15 minutes should only be used to bridge the gap until a permanently installed shower is reached.

The B-SAFETY ClassicLine tank eye shower BR958005 has a 16-liter tank made of stainless steel. The filling takes place via the large hinged lid attached at the top. A minimum filling pressure of 7 bar must then be reached via the tire filling valve located on the side of this. The shower is then triggered by actuating the connected hand-held eye shower and the filled water is completely drained via the hand-held eye shower.
