Electromagnetic Diaphragm Valve 2/2 AWS Type 242 / 242FL
The AWS Type 242 is a 2/2-way seat valve with a diaphragm, featuring forced pilot operation. Due to its positive lift, it operates from 0 bar differential pressure, unlike standard pilot-controlled diaphragm valves. The basic configuration is NC (Normally Closed).

Flow and Size Selection
The threaded version covers Kv 4.1 to 41.2 m³/h. The 242FL covers Kv 4.1 to 136.5 m³/h, with DN 65–100 at 0–6 bar pressure. DN selection is based on required flow, available pressure, permissible pressure drop, and line connection type.
Electrical Configuration
Connection is according to DIN EN 175301-803 Form A. Available in 230 V AC 50/60 Hz, 24 V DC, and special voltages, with ±10% tolerance per VDE 0580 and 100% ED duty cycle.
Applications
Suitable for clean water, neutral liquids, compressed air, and compatible gases without solids. Used in filling/draining lines, process water networks, HVAC, auxiliary circuits, and skids where operation without minimum Δp is required.

NPT, flange DN 25–100, NO version, manual override, bracket, LED plug, oil-free/grease-free cleaning, silicone-free/LABS-free, Ex coil up to DN 25 for NC 0–6 bar, and optional WRAS diaphragm in 242FL.
