NORIS Bauform 880-S – Flow Indicator with Butt Weld Ends

The NORIS 880-S is a straight-through, double-sided flow indicator with butt weld ends. It is used for visual inspection of liquids and gases in horizontal or vertical pipelines where flange connections are not specified. The flow direction must be considered during installation.

Operational Options

The 880-S can be requested with an internal spinner or flap for clear fluids or when simple observation through the glasses does not provide a clear flow indication. Versions with a heating jacket and observation light are available for areas with reduced visibility or thermal process requirements.

Application Scope

Suitable for process water, condensate, gases, auxiliary circuits, and chemical liquids compatible with 1.0619 or 1.4408. Material selection should be based on pressure, temperature, corrosion, line cleaning, and welding requirements.

Difference from NORIS 880

The 880 is a flanged flow indicator, while the 880-S is used in welded pipelines. Choosing the 880-S reduces flanged connections but complicates disassembly compared to flanged construction.
