NORIS Model 880-RK/RP – DIN Flow Indicator with Spinner

The NORIS 880-RK/RP is a dual-sided inline flow indicator featuring an internal spinner for visual monitoring of liquids and gases in horizontal or vertical pipelines. The connection is flanged according to DIN standards, available in pressure classes PN16, PN25, or PN40.

Operating Conditions

• Operating Pressure: 16 / 25 / 40 bar
• Operating Temperature: 120 °C or 260 °C
• Sizes: DN15–DN200
• Installation: Horizontal or vertical, observing flow direction
• Options: Heating jacket, observation light, ANSI flanges

Materials and Sealing

The body is available in GG25 / EN-GJL-250, GS-C25 / 1.0619 / GP240GH, or stainless steel 1.4408. The GG25 version is limited to a maximum pressure of 16 bar. Observation glasses are borosilicate according to DIN 7080 or soda-lime according to DIN 8902. Standard sealing is graphite, with other materials available upon fluid and temperature assessment.

Difference Between 880-RK and 880-RP

The difference lies in the spinner material and temperature limit:

• 880-RK: Plastic spinner, up to 120 °C
• 880-RP: PTFE spinner, up to 260 °C

The RP version is selected for higher temperatures or when enhanced chemical compatibility of the internal rotating indicator is required.

Applications

Suitable for process water, condensate, gases, auxiliary networks, and chemical liquids compatible with construction materials. The spinner aids in flow recognition in clear liquids or where simple observation through the glasses is insufficient.

Does it accept an actuator?
No. It is a passive flow indicator without an actuator.

Are there certificates?
Optional certificates include EN 10204 type 2.2 or 3.1.
