ARI-REYCO RL Series ANSI Pressure Relief Valves
The ARI-REYCO RL Series are spring-loaded, direct-acting full nozzle safety/relief valves designed for gases, steam, and liquids. The RL Series covers small to medium relief capacities, with NPT, socket weld, butt weld, or ASME B16.5 flanged connections.
Variants
- Fig. 966: Closed lever for manual lift testing
- Fig. 968: Gas-tight cap
- Fig. 969: Open lever for manual lift testing
The lever is intended for test lift only, not for process operation.

- Flange Classes: ANSI 150/150 up to ANSI 2500/300, depending on material and configuration
- Seat Tightness: API 527
- Certifications: ASME Section VIII Div. 1 with UV/NB stamp, CRN (with UV), PED 2014/68/EU Module B+D
Sealing Options
Standard construction uses metal seat/disc. Optional soft seat materials include Aflas, BUNA-N, Chemraz, EPR, Fluoraz, Kalrez, silicone, or Viton, with temperature limits per elastomer. Stellited seat available for increased wear resistance.
Sizing Data
For gases: mass flow or SCFM, molecular weight, isentropic exponent, temperature, set pressure, and backpressure are required. For liquids: volumetric flow, density, viscosity, temperature, set pressure, and backpressure. Accumulated backpressure is typically limited to 10% of set pressure.
FAQ
When is RL Series used instead of R Series?
For smaller sizes, NPT or welded connections, thermal relief, or compact skid applications.
Is it suitable for steam?
Yes, with appropriate material selection and sizing per actual set pressure and backpressure.
