B-Safety BR 075 085 ClassicLine – Recessed Ceiling-Mounted Safety Shower Arm

Ceiling-mounted safety shower arm for body drench applications, designed for recessed installation. Water supply connection is ¾" male. This configuration is specified when supply piping is routed above the ceiling, exposing only the shower head, arm, and cover escutcheon. Headroom is 560 mm; installation height is 2760 mm ±100 mm.

Technical Data

  • Operating dynamic pressure: 1.5–3 bar
  • Nominal flow rate: 50 l/min
  • Available variants: 75 l/min and 110 l/min
  • Water connection: ¾" male thread
  • Materials: stainless steel and plastic
  • Color: green / black
  • Shower head: chemically resistant plastic, self-draining

Construction and Operation

The ceiling arm is fabricated from stainless steel with a green chemically resistant coating. The polyamide escutcheon covers the ceiling penetration. The shower head integrates an automatic flow regulator (50 l/min) to maintain spray pattern within specification across 1.5–3 bar dynamic pressure.

For installations per DIN EN 15154-1:2006, self-draining must be ensured between the valve and shower head. This reduces water retention, scale formation, and periodic maintenance points.

Standards and Selection

Complies with EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014, DIN 1988, EN 1717, and DIN-DVGW / DVGW NW-0416CL0425. Flow variants (50, 75, 110 l/min) are selected based on risk assessment, available dynamic pressure, pressure drop, and required flushing intensity.

Applications

Typical applications include chemical laboratories, paint shops, surface treatment areas, chemical filling stations, and production zones. The ceiling arm is used with a separate activation valve in the safety shower network.

Product description

The emergency shower arm is equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the specifications of ANSI Z358.1 and EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely free of calcification and maintenance, and very robust and corrosion-resistant. The limited, uniform and above all soft water jet is optimized for rinsing off chemicals on the skin.

The integrated automatic flow regulator ensures a standard-compliant spray pattern regardless of the water pressure on site. With the enclosed safety sign according to EN ISO 7010 and ASR A1.3, the B-SAFETY emergency shower is marked and visibility is improved. The viewing distance is 15 meters.

Mounting-Instructions:

For an installation in accordance with DIN EN 15154-1:2006 it must be ensured, that the safety shower installation is self-draining between valve and shower head.
