Pre-torqued Laboratory Holder STRIKO SH Lab

The SH Lab is a pre-loaded holder for STRIKO metallic rupture discs, designed for laboratory setups, test benches, pilot units, and small-scale high-pressure process lines. The disc is mounted inside the holder without torsional stress, ensuring that seating is independent of the final connection’s tightening torque.

Role in Process Applications

The SH Lab holder does not replace burst pressure calculation. It is used to maintain disc geometry with controlled preload and repeatable seating. Suitable for frequent disc changes, testing different set pressures, or protecting small-scale equipment from overpressure in laboratory and pilot environments.

Difference from Standard Holders

In conventional flanged installations, line bolt torque directly affects disc compression. In the SH Lab, the disc is already secured within the holder. Optionally, assemblies can be supplied with lead sealing to prevent unauthorized intervention in safety components.

STRIKO is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for the development and production of bursting disc safety devices and operates a quality system in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU Module D for metallic and graphite rupture discs.
