Gefran TPSA Pressure Transmitter
The Gefran TPSA is an analog pressure transmitter designed for test benches, material testing machines, hydraulic circuits, and injection presses. The series utilizes a bonded strain gauge on stainless steel and is specified where a conditioned signal to a PLC or data logger is required, instead of a mV/V output.
Technical Data
- Measuring ranges: 0…4 to 0…1000 bar
- Accuracy: ±0.1% FS typical for ≥100 bar, ±0.15% FS for <100 bar
- Overpressure: 3x…2x
- Burst pressure: 5x…2.5x
- Response time: <1 ms
- Process temperature: -40…+105 °C
- Temperature compensation: -10…+85 °C
- Body: AISI 304
- Wetted parts: 17-4PH stainless steel
- Protection: IP65/IP66/IP67 (depends on electrical connection and correct mating connector installation)
Signal Outputs
Standard outputs: 0.1…10.1 Vdc, 4…20 mA, 0…10 Vdc. Optional: 0.1…5.1 Vdc, 0…5 Vdc, 1…5 Vdc, 1…10 Vdc, 1…6 Vdc. The 4…20 mA output is preferred for field wiring and PLC inputs with higher noise immunity. Voltage outputs are used for short distances or test systems.
Process Connections
Standard: G 1/4 gas male. Options: 7/16-20 UNF-2A SAE 4, G 1/2A DIN 16288, G 1/4 gas female. Selection must consider operating pressure, fitting type, tightening torque, and mechanical load from piping.
Installation
Grounding via machine body is required. Use shielded cable, connect shield to connector housing, and isolate shield at PLC/instrument side. Signal cables must be routed separately from power cables.
Compliance
TPSA declaration of conformity includes CE, RoHS 2011/65/EU, EMC 2014/30/EU, EN 50581:2012, EN 61326-1:2013, EN 61326-2-3:2013.
FAQ
When to select TPSA over TPS?
When a conditioned analog output (4…20 mA or Vdc) is required. TPS provides mV/V output and needs a bridge input or signal conditioner.
Does it have Autozero?
Not in standard TPSA. For digital Autozero/Span, refer to TPSADA variant.
