Miyawaki REAH20L Pressure Reducing Valve with Pulse Line for Liquids and Gases
The Miyawaki REAH20L is a direct-acting pressure reducing valve designed for both compressible and incompressible media. Secondary side pressure is transmitted via a pulse line to the sensing chamber, allowing the valve to mechanically adjust its opening to maintain downstream pressure near the set point. This model is documented for use with air, gases, water, oil, and other neutral fluids.
Technical Data
- DN15–DN200.
- Flanged connection DIN standard.
- Body material: cast steel GP240GH / GS-C25 / 1.0619.
- Body classes: PN40, PN63, PN100.
- PMO: 4.0 / 6.3 / 10.0 MPa, per class.
- TMO: 400°C.
- Kvs: 1.8–320 m³/h, per DN.
- Maximum pressure reduction ratio: 25:1.
Downstream Pressure Settings
Typical secondary pressure ranges are 0.05–0.1 / 0.1–0.16 / 0.16–0.25 / 0.25–0.4 / 0.4–0.63 / 0.63–1.0 / 1.0–1.6 MPa. Settings below 0.05 MPa or above 1.6 MPa require technical evaluation for spring selection and sizing.
Applications
Used in compressed air, nitrogen, or neutral gas networks, industrial water, oil, cleaning systems, and auxiliary process circuits. The pulse line is beneficial when control pressure needs to be measured at the actual downstream point of use rather than immediately at the valve outlet.
Differences from REA20L and REAC20L
The REAH20L is the cast steel version for higher operating pressures, up to PN100 / 10.0 MPa. The REA20L is limited to lower body classes, while the REAC20L is selected when a stainless steel body 1.4408 is required.
Sizing Considerations
Selection requires p1, p2, flow rate, temperature, medium, density/viscosity, line DN, Kvs, and reduction ratio. For ratios above 25:1, a two-stage pressure reduction is considered.
