Miyawaki REA20L Pressure Reducing Valve with Pulse Line for Liquids and Gases
The Miyawaki REA20L is a direct-acting pressure reducing valve designed for compressible media such as air and industrial gases, as well as incompressible media like water, oil, and neutral liquids. The downstream pressure is detected in a control chamber, directly adjusting the valve opening without the need for electric or pneumatic actuators.
Technical Data
- DN15–DN200.
- Flanged connection DIN standard.
- Body made of ductile cast iron EN-GJS-400-15 / GGG-40.
- Body classes PN16 and PN25.
- PMO: 1.6 MPa for PN16, 2.5 MPa for PN25.
- TMO: 350°C.
- Kvs: 8.0–483 m³/h, depending on DN.
- Maximum pressure reduction ratio: 25:1.
Downstream Regulation Ranges
Primary regulation ranges are 0.05–0.1 / 0.1–0.16 / 0.16–0.25 / 0.25–0.4 / 0.4–0.63 / 0.63–1.0 MPa. Settings below 0.05 MPa, 1.0–1.6 MPa, or above 1.6 MPa are considered upon technical evaluation.
Applications
Used in compressed air networks, auxiliary gas networks, industrial water systems, oil circuits, cleaning systems, and food equipment. The pulse line allows for control of actual downstream usage pressure, especially when there are distances, diameter changes, or pressure losses after the valve.
Selection Compared to REAC20L
The REA20L features a ductile cast iron body for PN16/PN25 and TMO 350°C. The REAC20L is selected when a stainless steel body 1.4408, PN40, or higher operating limit up to 400°C is required.
Sizing Considerations
Selection requires p1, p2, flow rate, temperature, medium, density/viscosity for liquids, line DN, and Kvs. For reduction ratios above 25:1, a two-stage pressure reduction is considered.
