Miyawaki REAH20L-M Pressure Reducing Valve with Impulse Line for Liquids and Gases

The Miyawaki REAH20L-M is a direct-acting pressure reducing valve designed for compressed media such as air and inert gases, as well as incompressible media like water, oil, and similar process fluids. The downstream pressure is obtained via an impulse line and transmitted to the sensing chamber, where the valve mechanically adjusts the opening to maintain the set point.

Technical Data

  • Connection: Flanged, DIN standard.
  • Body Material: Cast steel G17CrMo 5-5 / 1.7357.
  • Body Classes: PN63 and PN100.
  • PMA: 6.3 MPa for PN63, 10.0 MPa for PN100.
  • TMA / TMO: 530°C.
  • PMO: 6.3 MPa for PN63, 10.0 MPa for PN100.
  • Maximum Pressure Reduction Ratio: 25:1.
  • Optional: Pressure gauge on the body.

Adjustment Ranges

Typical downstream pressure ranges are 0.05–0.1 / 0.1–0.16 / 0.16–0.25 / 0.25–0.4 / 0.4–0.63 / 0.63–1.0 MPa. Ranges below 0.05 MPa or above 1.0 MPa require technical confirmation of spring selection and sizing.

Applications

Used in high-temperature or high-pressure networks for compressed air, process gases, industrial water, oil, cleaning systems, and auxiliary production circuits. The impulse line is beneficial when control pressure needs to be measured at the actual downstream usage point, not immediately after the valve.

Selection Criteria

Sizing requires p1, p2, flow rate, temperature, medium, density/viscosity, line DN, Kvs, and allowable reduction ratio. Published Kvs tables differ between distributor and official Miyawaki pages, so Kvs must be confirmed in the final technical datasheet before ordering.

Description

Features

Pressure reducing valves for liquids and gases

The model REA20 is a direct acting pressure reducinf valve designed for use of compressible media, such as air and various gasses and for incompressible media such as water, oil and others.

Due to carefully selected springs a wide range of pressure applications is available.

As option the valve can be equipped with a pressure gauge on the valve body.

Operating features of direct acting pressure reducing valves

Pressure changes on the secondary side are detected in the detection chamber, and the degree of opening of the valve is directly adjusted to keep the pressure on the secondary side at a set level.

Maximum pressure reduction ratio 25:1

Uses

Perfect for cleaning devices, foodstuff devices, and other forms of compact steam equipment.
