Miyawaki REAC20L Pressure Reducing Valve with Pulse Line for Liquids and Gases
The Miyawaki REAC20L is a direct-acting pressure reducing valve with external pressure sensing on the secondary side. Downstream pressure is detected in a control chamber, and the valve opening is mechanically adjusted without an electric or pneumatic actuator. It is designed for compressible media such as air and gases, as well as incompressible media like water, oil, and neutral liquids.
Technical Data

- Flanged connection DIN.
- Body made of stainless cast steel GX5CrNiMo19-11-2 / 1.4408.
- Body class PN40.
- PMA 4.0 MPa, TMA 400°C.
- PMO 4.0 MPa, TMO 400°C.
- Kvs 8.0–483 m³/h, per DN.

Adjustment Ranges
Typical downstream pressure ranges are 0.05–0.1 / 0.1–0.16 / 0.16–0.25 / 0.25–0.4 / 0.4–0.63 / 0.63–1.0 MPa. Ranges below 0.05 MPa or above 1.0 MPa are considered upon technical selection. Spring selection is made according to DN and required set point.
Applications
Suitable for compressed air networks, industrial water, oil circuits, neutral gases, auxiliary process networks, cleaning systems, and food/beverage equipment where downstream pressure regulation with remote pulse sensing is required. The stainless steel construction makes it suitable for corrosive installation environments or compatibility with cleaner industrial circuits.
Selection and Installation
Sizing requires p1, p2, flow rate, density/viscosity for liquids, temperature, pipe DN, Kvs, and allowable reduction ratio. For ratios greater than 25:1, a two-stage reduction is considered. A manometer option is available on the body, and the series supports horizontal or vertical installation, bypass, and automatic venting.
FAQ
Is it used for steam?
For steam, select the corresponding series with a pulse line for steam. The REAC20L is documented for liquids and gases.
When is the pulse line preferred?
When control pressure needs to be sensed at an actual downstream point of use, not immediately at the valve outlet.
