Valfonta M2 with Bellows Self-Acting Pressure Reducer

The Valfonta M2 with bellows, referred to in the technical datasheet as M2F, is a self-acting pressure reducer designed to maintain downstream pressure amidst fluctuations in upstream pressure. The valve closes when the outlet pressure increases. It is not a safety valve; where overpressure protection is required, an independent safety valve should be installed downstream.

• Connections: DIN PN16–PN40 flanges, ANSI Class 150/300, BSP/NPT threads.
• Body Materials: GGG40.3 PN25, bronze RG10 PN25, A216 WCB PN40, A351 CF3M PN40.
• Maximum Inlet Pressure: 25 barg.
• Adjustment Ranges: 1–4 and 3–10 barg in the datasheet; product page also lists 0.2–2 barg.
• Kv: 3.5–32 m³/h for DN15–DN50.
• Maximum Differential Pressure: 25 bar up to DN25, 16 bar for DN40–DN50.

Sealing Materials and Temperature

The trim is stainless steel AISI 316L. The bellows are stainless steel AISI 316Ti with a limit of 200°C. Primary sealing is graphited PTFE/GR, with options for NBR, EPDM, FKM, and PEEK. Plug/seal limits are PTFE+GR or PEEK up to 200°C, EPDM/FPM up to 150°C, and NBR up to 80°C.

Media and Applications

Suitable for steam, compressed air, gases, and liquids. Typical applications include low steam usage, laboratory chemical networks, industrial water, wastewater, compressed air, sprinkler systems, fuel-oil, fire protection, and inert gas systems. For steam, a maximum temperature of 200°C is noted, and no condensate pot is required.

Installation

Horizontal piping is recommended, along with an upstream filter, P1/P2 gauges, isolation valves, and a downstream safety valve. The valve is delivered with internal pressure sensing; an external control line is available optionally and should be connected at least 1 m or 6 × DN downstream.
