Cla-Val 58-01 / 658-01

Hydraulic back pressure valve with solenoid shut-off capability. Combines back pressure/sustaining control with remote electrical shut-off via solenoid actuator. Pressure setpoint is hydraulically regulated; the solenoid enables remote closure command. Suitable for water and compatible process fluids. Typical pressure classes: PN10–PN25. Temperature range: 0–80°C (standard).

Operation

The valve maintains upstream pressure at the setpoint. If upstream pressure drops below the set value, the valve throttles or closes to sustain pressure. When the solenoid is energized, the main valve closes regardless of hydraulic setpoint. No electrical power is required for hydraulic pressure regulation.

Variants

Description

Cla-Val Models 58-01 and 658-01 valves perform two separate functions. They maintain constant backpressure by discharging excess pressure downstream and when the solenoid is activated, close drip-tight.

When the inlet pressure is greater than the control setting, the valve opens. When the inlet pressure is equal to the control setting, the pilot modulates the valve, maintaining the preselected backpressure. When the inlet pressure is less than the control setting, the pilot system closes the valve drip tight.
