Pneumatic Controller / Transmitter OMC Series 350

The OMC Series 350 is a pneumatic indicating controller and transmitter designed for industrial process control of temperature, pressure, and, depending on configuration, flow. It measures the process variable, compares it to the set point, and provides a pneumatic output signal to a control valve. Available control modes include ON-OFF, P, P+I, and P+I+D.

• Output: 3–15 psi / 0.2–1 bar, optional 6–30 psi / 0.4–2 bar.
• Air supply: 20 ±1.5 psi or optionally 35 ±1.5 psi.
• Pneumatic connections: 1/4" NPT with fittings for 4×6 mm tubing.
• Enclosure protection: IP55.
• Ambient temperature: -30 to +80 °C.
• Proportional band: ∞ to 200%.
• Integral action: >0.05 to >15 repeats/min.
• Derivative action: 0 to >5 min/repeat.
• Accuracy ≤1%, hysteresis ≤0.5%, non-linearity ≤0.5%, repeatability ≤0.5%.

Sensing Elements

For temperature, a nitrogen system with 2 m capillary and ASTM A240 Type 316L stainless steel sensor is used. For pressure, a Bourdon tube of ASTM A312 Type 316L stainless steel or a low-pressure element with ASTM A240 Type 316L stainless steel bellows is available.

Installation and Maintenance

The instrument is mounted on a panel or wall. Air supply lines should include a filter-regulator upstream, be sloped to prevent condensate, and use non-ferrous materials. Using a single regulator for multiple instruments may cause interaction due to air consumption fluctuations.
