The Brandoni Series M16 is a flanged Venturi-type check valve constructed from grey cast iron, designed for water networks, water treatment systems, and general industrial process applications. The Venturi body geometry reduces pressure losses compared to conventional check valve designs. Not suitable for steam or gas service.
Maximum allowable pressure for water and non-hazardous liquids is 16 bar when installed between flanges. Not intended for end-of-line service. The data sheet excludes hazardous liquids, hazardous or non-hazardous gases, and steam applications.
Suitable for water distribution lines, water treatment units, pump stations, cooling circuits, and auxiliary industrial piping with clean or compatible non-hazardous liquids.
Operates via differential pressure and spring force; no actuator required. No scheduled maintenance is necessary, but depressurization, drainage, and cooling of the line are required before disassembly. Do not use body bolts for pipe alignment and avoid flange welding after installation.
Can it be used for steam? No.
Is vertical installation allowed? Yes, provided flow direction is observed.
Is it suitable as an end-of-line valve? No, this use is not supported by the data sheet.

The valves in series M16 are “Venturi” type, flanged PN 10/16, cast iron check valves.
They are available on request in PN 25/40/64/100 versions.

The hydro-dynamic profile produces low head losses.
