Tassalini Pressure Relief Valves

Tassalini stainless steel pressure relief valves are designed for process lines handling food-grade and sanitary fluids. The valve opens when system pressure exceeds the setpoint and recloses once pressure returns to the calibrated threshold.

Construction

  • Body materials: AISI 304L or AISI 316L
  • Spring: AISI 304L
  • Adjustment mechanism: Integrated within the body to minimize unintentional setpoint changes
  • Seals: EPDM O-ring and seat lip in PTFE, silicone, EPDM, or FTM
  • Surface finish: Grain 120, Ra approx. 1.01–1.14 μm
  • Sizes: DN25–DN80 or 1"–3"
  • Connections: Weld ends, threaded, or union
  • Connection standards: DIN, SMS, RJT BS, IDF ISS, Clamp

Pressure and Temperature Ratings

Standard setpoint range: 0–5 bar. With optional springs or disc springs, setpoint up to 12 bar depending on diameter. Maximum allowable pressure: 12 bar. Operating temperature: -10°C to +95°C.

Seal Selection

  • PTFE: -10°C to +150°C
  • Silicone: -50°C to +200°C
  • EPDM: -30°C to +140°C
  • FTM: -15°C to +220°C

Seal selection is based on process temperature, media compatibility, CIP/SIP requirements, cleaning chemicals, and seat tightness specifications.

Typical Applications

Used in food, beverage, dairy, sanitary skids, process tanks, and distribution networks requiring controlled pressure relief without atmospheric discharge.

Maintenance

Seat and seals should be inspected for product deposits, chemical degradation, and loss of elasticity. Discharge piping must not impose mechanical loads or create backpressure on the valve.

Description

Our pressure relief valves are manufactured from Aisi 304L and Aisi 316L stainless steel.

The pressure control element is located inside the valve body to prevent accidental operation.

The valves are adjustable from 0 to 5 bars. On request, they can be supplied with disc springs and can be adjustable up to 12 bars.

The standard finish is 120 grit (Ra 1.01-1.14 µm max).
