Needle Valve 4G Ghidini 658204 – NPT F with Calibrated Handwheel

Manual needle valve for fine flow adjustment in clean liquid or gas lines. Model 658204 features female/female NPT threading, a calibrated handwheel, AISI 316L / 1.4404 body, and polished exterior. Available in sizes from 1/4” to 1 1/2”.

Operating Conditions

• Operating Temperature: -20°C to +160°C
• PN 160: 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”
• PN 100: 3/4”, 1”, 1 1/4”, 1 1/2”
• Operation: graduated handwheel, no actuator
• Sealing: FKM O-rings, PTFE, and glass-filled PTFE
• Metal parts: body, needle, screw, and stopper nut made of AISI 316L

Functional Use

The calibrated handwheel allows for return to a specific open position after isolation, cleaning, or adjustment. Position indication does not equate to measured flow; actual flow depends on ΔP, viscosity, temperature, and piping characteristics.

Difference from 658204 without Calibration

The version with a graduated handwheel is chosen when repeated manual adjustment and position recording are required. For simple isolation or infrequent adjustment, the basic NPT version is technically sufficient. Continuous automatic control requires a control valve with an actuator and appropriate Cv/Kv.

Standards and Options

Connection is NPT female/female. Upon request, ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db antistatic arrangement and M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance are available.

FAQ

Is it suitable for slurries or solids?
Not as a first choice. The needle restricts flow cross-section and may clog or wear in media with solids.

What is checked before supply?
NPT size, PN, temperature, chemical compatibility 316L/FKM/PTFE, and position repeatability requirement.
