Genebre 2224 Needle Valve – 3000 lbs, NPT F/F
Manual needle valve for throttling small flow rates in clean liquid or gas lines. The 2224 series is the stainless steel version with female NPT ends per ASME B1.20.1 and a maximum pressure of 3000 psi, approximately 206–210 bar.

Pressure and Temperature
The technical sheet provides pressure/temperature ratings per diameter group:
- 1/4”–1/2”: 3000 psi up to 260°C
- 3/4”–1 1/4”: 3000 psi up to 240°C
- 1 1/2”–2”: 3000 psi up to 200°C
For high-temperature selection, valve size must be checked, not just the nominal pressure of 3000 lbs.
Typical Applications
The 2224 is used in lines requiring local manual flow adjustment:
- impulse lines and instrumentation circuits
- small high-pressure bypasses
- sampling of clean media
- nitrogen, air, water, or compatible chemicals
- installations with NPT piping standard
Not suitable as a first choice for slurries, suspended solids, or viscous products. The seat and needle have limited flow cross-section and are sensitive to particles, flow erosion, and seat leakage.
Difference from Genebre 2223
The 2224 is the NPT stainless steel version. The 2223 has similar material logic but ISO 228/1 connection. Replacement between ISO and NPT should not occur without checking thread standard, sealing method, and compatibility with existing fittings.

Is it a control valve?
No. It is a manual needle valve for throttling. Automatic control requires Cv/Kv calculation and an actuator.

NPT size, pressure, temperature, Kv, media compatibility with 316/F316/F6, and packing/seat condition for sealing requirements.
