Fival TMF-NX – Transparent Level Gauge Indicator
The Fival TMF-NX is a visual level gauge equipped with borosilicate transparent glasses, designed for direct local level indication on pressure vessels, steam boilers, condensate tanks, and auxiliary process circuits. The transparent construction allows direct observation of the process liquid through the chamber, which is essential for monitoring color, foaming, contamination, or phase separation in industrial fluids.
Construction and Key Features
Designated as Transparent Level Gauge mod. TMF-NX/NY, Fig. TC, with a pressure rating of PN40. Standard supply flanges are PN40 DN20. The standard glass is type A, 30 mm width.
Main materials:
- Studs: B7
- Nuts: 2H
- Covers: carbon steel, optional stainless steel
- Upper gasket: asbestos-free
- Lower gasket: graphite
- Chamber: carbon steel, optional stainless steel
- Nipples: carbon or stainless steel
NX vs NY Variant Differences
- NX: Gauge-to-valve connection via plain end pipes and compression fittings.
- NY: Connection via threaded nipples.
NX version allows minor alignment adjustments during installation. NY is selected where threaded mechanical connection between gauge and valves is required.
Selection Criteria
For technical specification, provide:
- Center-to-center distance
- Connection size and type
- Handwheel position (right or left)
- Operating pressure and temperature
- Process medium
- Special material or stainless steel requirements
Applications and Maintenance
Used for boiler water, condensate, auxiliary tanks, clean industrial liquids, and applications requiring visual fluid assessment. Maintenance includes inspection of glasses, gaskets, tightening elements, chamber cleanliness, and operation of isolation/drain valves.
