Knife Gate Valve Zubi T200 TAPPI / MSS-SP-81
The Zubi T200 TAPPI is a full bore lugged knife gate valve with a monoblock body, designed for flow isolation in lines with suspended solids, slurries, and viscous fluids. Available in unidirectional or bidirectional configurations; pressure direction is indicated by an arrow on the body. Sizes range from DN50 to DN600, with an operating pressure of 10 bar.
Applications and Media
Suitable for:
- pulp and TAPPI circuits,
- water and wastewater treatment,
- chemical industry,
- mining, biomass, and bulk handling,
- sludges, slurries, and liquids with solids.
The internal design limits solid accumulation in the seating area, while the polished knife reduces wear on the seat and packing.
Standards, Connections, Materials
- Face-to-face and pressure rating: MSS-SP-81 / TAPPI TIS 405-8.
- Flanges: EN1092 PN10/16, ANSI B16.5, PN6–PN40, JIS, AS-2129 upon request.
- Testing: UNE-EN 12266-1.
- Directives: 2006/42/EC, 2014/68/EU PED, ATEX 2014/34/EU report available.
Seats, Sealing, and Selection
Body: GG25, GGG40, WCB, CF8, CF8M, 316L, Duplex, Superduplex, 904L, and other materials.
Seat: EPDM, NBR, Viton/FKM, Silicone, PTFE, RPTFE, Graphite, Flucast.
Packing: Synt+PTFE, pure PTFE, Graphite, Ceramic, or greased cotton. Selection is based on chemical compatibility, temperature, solid content, and required leakage.
Actuation and Instruments
Available with handwheel, lever, gearbox, chain-wheel, single/double acting pneumatic cylinder, hydraulic and electric actuator. For pneumatic operation, 5–6 bar dry and filtered air is recommended. Optional: limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoid valves, positioner 4–20 mA, locking devices, and stem extensions.
Maintenance
Installation requires clean and parallel flanges, proper alignment, and gradual cross-tightening. After line pressure, check the packing gland; excessive tightening increases operating torque and reduces packing lifespan.
