Knife Gate Valve Zubi Square Model
The Zubi Square Model is a square-section knife gate valve designed for low-pressure applications involving solid loads. It is primarily used at silo outlets, hoppers, and bulk handling lines where the flow involves powders, granules, or solid materials, rather than clean liquid pressure networks. The body is a single-piece welded body, featuring a polished stainless steel knife and rounded edges to minimize wear on the seat and packing.
Operating Range
- Dimensions: 150×150 to 1200×1200 mm
- Design Pressure: 1 bar
- Higher pressures: subject to technical review
- Flange connection: per Zubi standard or according to installation dimensions
- Sealing: metal/metal, PTFE, or watertight execution
Installation Orientation
The valve is unidirectional. The highest pressure should be applied towards the seat, regardless of the nominal flow direction. When used under silos or hoppers, where pressure is low and material falls by gravity, installation is typically reversed for better discharge and reduced material retention in the body.
