Zubi Fabricated Single Wedge Knife Gate Valve

The Zubi Fabricated Single Wedge is a flanged knife gate valve with a welded construction, available in unidirectional or bidirectional seat configurations. It is used in large diameter pipelines or services requiring a robust welded body instead of a cast body. The face-to-face dimensions are manufacturer standard.

Construction

  • Single-piece welded body and bonnet.
  • Bolted top cover to minimize atmospheric leakage.
  • Polished stainless steel blade on both sides with rounded edges.
  • Compact packing area for reduced potential leakage surface.
  • Full bore flow with low pressure drop for on/off isolation.

  • Sizes: DN900–DN2000
  • Operating pressure: up to 10 bar
  • Higher pressures: subject to technical review
  • Flanges: PN6/10/16/25/40, ANSI 125/150, BST D/E, JIS 5K/10K, AS-2129 D/E
  • Sealing: metal/metal, PTFE, or watertight execution.

Applications

Commonly used in pulp & paper, power plants, water/wastewater, powder & bulk handling, mining, chemical industry, and food/beverage sectors. For slurry or solid loads, seat and blade selection should consider abrasiveness, temperature, pH, and leakage requirements.

Seat: EPDM, NBR, Silicone, Viton, Graphite, Flucast, PTFE.
Blade: AISI304L, AISI316L, Hardox, or special stainless/duplex alloys.
Packing: Synt+PTFE, PTFE, graphite, ceramic, or greased cotton.

Actuation options include gearbox, gearbox + chain-wheel, electric or hydraulic actuators. Optional features: limit switches, proximity sensors, locking devices, stem extension, regulation V-ports, and cleaning holes.
