KITO F32N Pressure and Vacuum Line Valve

The KITO VD/TL, F32N series, is a self-actuated line breather valve for tanks and vessels. It is specified where both venting and inert gas blanketing must be routed through piping, not directly to atmosphere. Its operation is functionally equivalent to the KITO VD/o3 of the F18N series.

Process Operation

The tank side connects to the vapor phase line. Under overpressure, the valve directs vapors to a collection header. Under vacuum, it admits gas via a separate line, typically from a nitrogen or inert gas network. Actuation is by weighted loading; no external actuator is required.

Dimensions and Setpoints

• DN 25–40: PN 40
• DN 50–150: PN 16
• ASME equivalents: 1" to 6"
• Vacuum setpoint: approx. 1.7 to 148 mbar, by DN
• Pressure setpoint: approx. 1.7 to 200 mbar, by DN and configuration
• Shell extension available for higher pressure settings in some sizes
• For higher setpoints, use type F32.1N

Materials and Sealing

Body and cover: carbon steel or stainless steel 1.4571. Seat, spindle, and weights: stainless steel 1.4571. Standard seal: NBR; options: Viton, PTFE, EPDM, or metal-to-metal. For setpoints ≥100 mbar, only PTFE or metal seals are used.

Standards and Flow Data

Flanged connection: EN 1092-1 type A; ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF optional. Flow rates are for air at ρ=1.29 kg/m³, 273 K, with 40% accumulation above setpoint, per DIN 4119.

How does it differ from F31N?
F32N is for applications where both venting and gas supply are piped, not vented directly to atmosphere.
