Cla-Val 60-11 / 660-11 – Pump Discharge Booster Control Valve

The Cla-Val 60-11 / 660-11 is a pilot-operated control valve designed for installation on the discharge side of booster pumps. It utilizes line pressure for actuation and is engineered to minimize hydraulic transients during pump start-up and shutdown sequences.

Operating Sequence

The pump starts with the valve in the closed position. The CSM11 solenoid is energized, causing the valve to open gradually and allowing line pressure to increase to the required setpoint. On shutdown, the solenoid is de-energized, the valve closes in a controlled manner, and the X105LCW limit switch releases the pump starter circuit.

Valve Selection

Valve sizing is based on pump flow rate and allowable pressure drop. Select the smallest size that meets the required flow. Oversizing reduces the valve’s ability to control transient events. For applications with pressure below 10 psi, consult technical support for suitability.
