The Valvosider Y-type is an oblique flow globe valve featuring a bolted bonnet, outside screw & yoke, rising stem, rising handwheel, and loose disc. The Y configuration reduces hydraulic resistance compared to a straight globe valve, while maintaining isolation or throttling capabilities when an appropriate disc is selected.
The series complies with EN 12516 for design, EN 12982 / EN 558 for face-to-face, EN 1092 for flanges, EN 12627 / DIN 3239 for welded ends, EN 12266 for testing, EN 19 for marking, and CE-PED. Material certificates can be EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
Bonnet sealing is achieved with a stainless-steel reinforced graphite gasket and stem sealing with graphite rings & wiper rings. Seats are X20Cr13 or X5CrNiMo17-12-2, with options for Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or PTFE based on media or temperature requirements.
Suitable for steam, condensates, hot water, gases, and industrial fluids compatible with construction materials. For large DN or high differential pressure, check pressure under the disc; if manufacturer limits are exceeded, a gear operator or installation with pressure above the disc and internal or external bypass is recommended.
Available with ISO 5210 top flange, gear operator, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuator, limit switches, position indicator, locking/interlock, regulating disc, double-stage disc, stop-check disc, live-loaded packing, stem extension, and drain plug.
When lower pressure drop is required without switching to a gate valve, and the globe geometry remains useful for seat and disc control.
Yes, only with a regulating disc and control of Δp, velocity, noise, and seat wear.
