Valvosider DIN Steam Globe Valve with Bolted Bonnet

The Valvosider DIN is a straight-through globe valve featuring a bolted bonnet, outside screw & yoke, rising stem, rising handwheel, and loose disc. It is used as an isolation valve for steam, hot water, condensates, gases, and industrial fluids, with material selection based on pressure, temperature, and media compatibility.

Pressure and Diameter Range

  • PN10/16: DN15–DN600, Fig. 1401
  • PN25/40: DN15–DN600, Fig. 1430
  • PN63: DN15–DN600, Fig. 1560
  • PN100: DN15–DN300, Fig. 1570
  • PN160: DN15–DN300, Fig. 1580

Available body materials include 1.0619, 1.4408, and 1.4581, with flanged connections and DIN standardization.

Construction Standards

The series is designed according to EN 12516, face-to-face EN 12982 / EN 558, flanges EN 1092, welded ends per DIN 3239, testing EN 12266, marking EN 19, CE compliance CE-PED, and certification EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.

Sealing and Trim

Bonnet sealing is achieved with a stainless-steel reinforced graphite gasket, while the stem is sealed with graphite rings and wiper rings. Seat surfaces can be X20Cr13 or X5CrNiMo17-12-2, with options for Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or PTFE upon request.

Operational Options

For large DN or high differential pressure, permissible pressure under the disc must be checked. The technical datasheet specifies that above certain Δp limits, the valve should be installed with a reducer or with pressure above the disc and external or internal bypass.

Available options include ISO 5210 top flange, gear operator, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuator, position indicator, limit switches, locking/interlock, regulating disc, double-stage disc, stop-check disc, live-loaded packing, stem extension, and drain plug.

FAQ

When to Choose PN63–PN160?

When the pressure-temperature rating of the installation exceeds PN16/40 limits, especially in steam, energy, and high-pressure processes.

Is it Suitable for Throttling?

The primary use is isolation. For throttling, a regulating disc is required, along with control of Δp, velocity, noise, and seat wear.
