ARI EURO-WEDI – Soft-Sealing Shut-Off Valve

The ARI EURO-WEDI is a manually operated shut-off/throttling valve with an EPDM soft seal, designed for heating and cooling water networks, as well as neutral industrial fluids compatible with EPDM. It is not intended for steam or media containing mineral oils.

• Sizes: DN15–DN200 for flanged versions, DN15–DN50 for threaded versions
• Operating Temperature: -10°C to +120°C, short-term up to +130°C
• Body/Bonnet: EN-JL1040 / EN-GJL-250 cast iron
• Shaft: X20Cr13+QT / 1.4021+QT
• Sealing: EPDM 70, O-rings EPDM, special shaft seal EDD in DN200

Connections and Standards

Flanged versions comply with FTF-14 or FTF-1 lengths per DIN EN 558 and flanges DIN EN 1092. Threaded versions use DIN ISO 228-1 connection. Documentation references PED 2014/68/EU and TÜV approval 8/59.

• Fig. 070/071: Straight flanged version
• Fig. 072/073: Flanged version with hood to prevent unauthorized operation per DIN EN 12828
• Fig. 076/078: BSP threaded version, with or without hood
• Manual operation with non-rising handwheel; no electric or pneumatic actuator documented in available brochures.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Pre-start checks include material, pressure, temperature, and flow direction. Foreign bodies, welding debris, or dirt in the pipeline can cause seat leakage. The shaft should be lubricated with a medium-compatible lubricant.

Used in steam? No, EURO-WEDI is not suitable for steam applications.
