The Valvosider Pressure Seal Parallel Slide ASME is a metal-seated gate valve designed for flow isolation under high pressure and temperature conditions, primarily used in steam, superheated steam, boiler feedwater, condensates, and thermal circuits. It is not intended for throttling; operation should be fully open or fully closed.
Features include pressure seal bonnet, outside screw & yoke, rising stem, non-rising handwheel, integral backseat, welded-in seats, and parallel disc. Design adheres to API 600, ASME B16.34, and MSS-SP-144. Face-to-face dimensions per ASME B16.10, flanges per ASME B16.5 / B16.47, BW ends per ASME B16.25, testing per API 598 / EN 12266, marking per MSS-SP 25, CE/PED, and certificates EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
Body/bonnet materials available: ASTM A216 WCB, A217 WC1, WC6, WC9, and A351 CF8M. Seats are hard-faced, with options for Stellite, Monel, or Hastelloy. Stem sealing uses graphite rings & wiper rings, while the gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite or metallic upon request.
The parallel slide design reduces wedging risk in thermal cycles and high differential pressure compared to flexible wedge. For large DN or high ΔP, consider a by-pass / relief system for pressure equalization before opening. Options include ISO 5210 top flange, gear operator, chain wheel, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuator, limit switches, position indicator, interlock, and live-loaded packing.
Is it used for throttling? No.
When to choose BW? In critical high-pressure/temperature lines.
Pressure seal or bolted bonnet? Pressure seal for Class 600–2500 and thermally loaded applications.
