Berluto SV 94 MS Float Valve

The SV 94 MS is a compact mechanical float valve designed for low-flow tank filling and local level control. Operation is achieved via a float and lever mechanism, without electrical sensors, PLCs, or external actuators. Level adjustment is performed by repositioning the float along the lever arm.

Technical Specifications

  • Nominal sizes: DN 10 and DN 15
  • Connection: male thread ISO 228, G 3/8" and G 1/2"
  • Max operating pressure: 12 bar
  • Kvs: 0.2 m³/h for DN 10, 0.3 m³/h for DN 15
  • Operating temperature: 0 to 100 °C with NBR
  • Body, wetted parts, lever, and cover: brass
  • Float: Hostalen/PE, copper, or stainless steel V4A
  • Replaceable valve seat
  • Option to shorten float lever length

Suitable Media

SV series is intended for water and neutral, non-viscous liquids. For potable water, refer to RSV O series as per technical datasheet; SV 94 MS should not be specified for drinking water networks without code- and installation-specific suitability confirmation.

Comparison with SV 26 and SV 45

SV 94 MS has a shorter body length than SV 26 and lower Kvs at DN 10. Both are brass with NBR and 100 °C limit. SV 45 is stainless steel 1.4404, available up to DN 20, operates up to 190 °C with FKM, but has a max pressure of 10 bar.

Typical Applications

  • small storage tanks
  • flush vessels
  • humidifiers
  • poultry watering systems
  • auxiliary water containers
  • installations with limited space and low fill rates

FAQ

When is SV 94 MS selected?
When a compact threaded brass float valve DN 10–DN 15 is required, with pressure up to 12 bar and Kvs up to 0.3 m³/h.

What should be checked before installation?
Inlet pressure, required flow, temperature, NBR/brass compatibility, unobstructed float movement, and risk of seat fouling.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
