Float Valves - Series SV - SV45 | Berluto

Berluto SV 45 Float Valve

The SV 45 is a mechanical float level valve designed for small tanks where compact construction, low filling flow, and resistance to more aggressive media are required compared to the brass SV 26 and SV 94 MS versions. Level adjustment is achieved by repositioning the float on the lever arm. The valve operates without electrical sensors or actuators.

Technical Specifications

  • Nominal sizes: DN 10, DN 15, DN 20
  • Connection: male thread ISO 228, G 3/8" to G 3/4"
  • Max. pressure SV 45: 10 bar
  • Kvs: 0.3 m³/h
  • Operating temperature: 0 to 190 °C with FKM
  • Body: stainless steel 1.4404
  • Wetted parts: stainless steel 1.4404
  • Cover: stainless steel 1.4404
  • Replaceable valve seat
  • Float arm length can be reduced

Suitable Media

SV series is used for water and neutral, non-viscous liquids. SV 45, due to stainless steel construction and pressure-tight design, is also suitable for aggressive water, aggressive liquids, air, and neutral gases, provided compatibility with FKM and 1.4404 stainless steel. For potable water, refer to RSV O series as per datasheet.

Difference from SV 26 and SV 94 MS

SV 45 differs mainly in material and temperature resistance. SV 26 and SV 94 MS are brass with NBR, max. 100 °C. SV 45 is stainless steel with FKM, max. 190 °C, but with 10 bar operating pressure versus 12 bar for brass versions.

Applications

  • small process water tanks
  • humidifiers and auxiliary filling vessels
  • small steam generation systems
  • tanks with limited installation space
  • low-flow applications with corrosive liquid environments

FAQ

When is SV 45 selected?
When a compact threaded float valve in stainless steel is required, with Kvs 0.3 m³/h and temperature up to 190 °C.

What should be checked before installation?
Inlet pressure, required flow, FKM/1.4404 compatibility, temperature, available float movement space, and risk of seat fouling.

Description

SV 45

Float valves of this series are ideal for filling small storage tanks or for level control of these tanks when aggressive water or other aggressive liquids are used. A desired liquid level can be precisely adjusted by moving the float.

Nominal size DN 10 up to DN 20

Inlet pressure up to 10 bar

Kvs-value 0.3 m³/h

Temperature range up to 190 °C

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
