The KSV 10 is a mechanically actuated float valve, utilizing a float and piston mechanism for level control. It is designed for filling tanks with neutral, non-viscous liquids where no electrical level signal or motorized actuator is required. Liquid level is adjusted via the float position on the lever arm and the lever angle.
Floats are available in HDPE, copper, or V4A stainless steel. Selection impacts temperature resistance, buoyancy, and media compatibility. For temperatures above 80 °C, stainless steel float is required.
Seat and seals are replaceable. The control piston can be removed for inspection by loosening a single screw, facilitating maintenance in installations with frequent deposit or seat wear checks.
When to select KSV 10 over KSV 80?
Use KSV 10 for neutral, non-viscous media, sizes DN 15–DN 25, and when red brass construction is compatible with the process fluid.
