Float Valves - Series KSV - KSV10 | Berluto

Berluto KSV 10 Float Valve

The KSV 10 is a mechanically actuated float valve, utilizing a float and piston mechanism for level control. It is designed for filling tanks with neutral, non-viscous liquids where no electrical level signal or motorized actuator is required. Liquid level is adjusted via the float position on the lever arm and the lever angle.

  • Max operating pressure: 12 bar
  • Kvs: 2.7 / 4.0 / 6.7 m³/h per DN
  • Temperature: 0 to 190 °C with FKM seals and stainless steel float
  • Temperature limit with HDPE or copper float: up to 80 °C
  • Body: red brass
  • Wetted parts and control piston: brass
  • Float arm: stainless steel 1.4571

Float Selection

Floats are available in HDPE, copper, or V4A stainless steel. Selection impacts temperature resistance, buoyancy, and media compatibility. For temperatures above 80 °C, stainless steel float is required.

Applications

  • Potable/process water tanks
  • Automatic filling of small/medium tanks
  • Auxiliary circuits in industrial installations
  • Systems requiring local mechanical level control

Maintenance and Leakage Inspection

Seat and seals are replaceable. The control piston can be removed for inspection by loosening a single screw, facilitating maintenance in installations with frequent deposit or seat wear checks.

FAQ

When to select KSV 10 over KSV 80?
Use KSV 10 for neutral, non-viscous media, sizes DN 15–DN 25, and when red brass construction is compatible with the process fluid.

Certifications available?
Manufacturer or product certifications include CE/PED, DVGW, and ISO 9001. Applicability must be verified per part number, installation country, and process media.

Certificates

CE-certification according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive is mandatory for numerous products and delivery areas. Other certificates, however, are certificates of individual quality, such as DVGW and DIN EN ISO 9001, which stands for the internal quality management system  with its extensive functional and performance checks. The particularly strict regulations of the national rules and regulations guarantee the highest possible safety - especially when it comes to the reliability in your plant.
