SonFlow Condenser/Evaporator units are plate heat exchangers designed for low-pressure steam condensation and evaporation applications. They are suitable for processes with significant temperature differentials between the hot and cold sides, requiring large steam inlet cross-sections and controlled pressure drop.
Condensation Operation
The asymmetric design features a large steam inlet and smaller connections for cooling water and condensate. This ensures proper steam distribution across the plates and stable condensate removal without a welded plate pack.
