Genebre 2401 – Dual Plate Wafer Check Valve
The Genebre 2401 is a dual plate wafer check valve designed for installation between flanges. The two plates open under differential flow pressure and are spring-assisted to close when flow decreases or reverses. No actuator is required.
Construction
- Body: Cast iron EN-GJL-250 / GG-25, epoxy coated
- Plates: Stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M
- Shaft and springs: AISI 316
- Washers: PTFE
- Seat: NBR, vulcanized into groove
- Connection: Wafer type for EN 1092 PN10/16 and ANSI 150 flanges
- Face-to-face: EN 558-1
Operating Limits
Maximum working pressure is 16 bar. Operating temperature range: -10°C to +100°C. Available sizes: DN50 to DN300. Minimum opening pressure: 40 mbar (DN50–DN65) to 75 mbar (DN300).
Hydraulic Data
Kv values: 68 m³/h (DN50) to 2300 m³/h (DN300). Manufacturer’s pressure drop data is based on water at 20°C, horizontal flow. For other fluids, conversion is required based on density and flow rate.
Applications
Suitable for water networks, HVAC, pump stations, auxiliary industrial systems, and non-hazardous liquids compatible with cast iron, CF8M, and NBR. Not recommended for temperatures above NBR limits or for fluids that degrade elastomeric seats.
Installation and Maintenance
Can be installed horizontally, vertically, or inclined, with flow direction as indicated on the body. Without springs, only vertical upward flow is permitted. Ensure clean piping, proper centering between flanges, and maintain 10×DN upstream and 3×DN downstream distances from pumps, elbows, reducers, or other valves.
FAQ
Is the seat replaceable? No. The seat is vulcanized to the body; if worn, the valve must be replaced.
Is lubrication required? No lubrication is needed, but periodic inspection for leakage and connection integrity is recommended.
