Diaphragm Valve Zubi T85/99
The Zubi T85/99 is a straight-through diaphragm valve with threaded connections, featuring a monoblock cast body and bolted bonnet. It is bidirectional and primarily used as an isolation valve in industrial liquid networks, where diaphragm replacement is required without removing the body from the pipeline. This type does not accommodate an elastomeric lining, a critical factor for selection in corrosive or abrasive media.

Diaphragms and Media Compatibility
Available diaphragms: Butyl, reinforced Butyl, Natural Rubber, EPDM, Hypalon, Neoprene, Nitrile, Silicone, and Viton. Selection is based on pH, temperature, chemical compatibility, presence of solids, and frequency of operations. For corrosive media, CF8M body is preferred, while GGG50 can be considered for water/wastewater networks if the medium is compatible.
Applications
Suitable for:
- water and wastewater treatment,
- chemical auxiliary circuits,
- pulp and paper industry,
- mining and general industrial supplies,
- food and beverages, only with appropriate diaphragm and compatibility confirmation.
Handling and Automation
Available with handwheel, pneumatic actuator air-to-open, air-to-close, or double acting, electric actuator, and gearbox. Automation options: position indicators, limit switches, solenoid valves, padlock, and positioner 4–20 mA.
FAQ
When is the T85/99 chosen over the flanged T85?
When the line is threaded and the DN/pressures remain within the type's limits.
Is it suitable for abrasive slurry?
Only after checking speed, solids, and body material, as the T85/99 lacks body lining.
