Gefran 600 OF Controller – Programmer
The Gefran 600 OF is a microprocessor-based open-frame process controller, 44×91 mm (1/16 DIN), designed for integration into compact panels, membrane keypads, and machine-specific operator interfaces. It features dual 4-digit green displays for PV/SV, four keys, output status LEDs, and supports external keypad connection.
Process Inputs
The primary input is universal and selectable from the front panel, with no external shunts required. Supported input types include thermocouples J, K, R, S, T, and custom ranges, RTD Pt100/JPt100, PTC, NTC, and linear signals (0/4–20 mA, mV, V), with a range of -1999 to 9999 and 32-segment custom linearization. Accuracy is 0.2% f.s. ±1 digit, with a 120 ms sampling time.
Control and Outputs
The 600 OF supports On/Off, P, PD, and PID control for heating or cooling, with self-tuning, auto-tuning, soft-start, bumpless Man/Auto transfer, setpoint ramp, and a 3-step setpoint programmer. Outputs are configurable as relay (5 A / 250 Vac / 30 Vdc) or logic (15 Vdc for SSR). Up to 5 outputs are available, depending on model.
Alarms and Communication
Three alarms can be set as absolute, deviation, or symmetrical deviation, with direct/reverse logic, hysteresis, memory, delay, and startup lockout. LBA (Load Break Alarm) is included for load interruption or loop failure detection. Optional isolated RS485 serial communication with Modbus RTU is available.
Model Variants
- Model A/G: Main relay output for contactor applications.
- Model B/C/E/F/H: Main logic output for SSR control.
- Model C/F: RS485 interface for PLC or SCADA integration.
- Model D: Basic version with logic OUT1 and internal keypad.
Typical Applications
Used in small industrial ovens, pipe welders, dryers, temperature control units, climatic chambers, test benches, and machines with membrane-type operator panels.
Operating Conditions and Compliance
Operating range: 0–50 °C; storage: -20–70 °C; humidity: 20–85% RH non-condensing. The 600 OF series is CE compliant for RoHS, EMC 2014/30/EU, and LVD 2014/35/EU, meeting EN 50581, EN 61326-1, and EN 61010-1 standards.
